چکیده
Scirtothrips dorsalis Hood (Thysanoptera: Thripidae) is an insect of Asian origin and currently distributed in several countries around the world. It has highly polyphagous habits been reported as a primary pest different fruit, horticultural, ornamental crops. This species was Mexico 2020, however, due to its invasive nature rapid adaptation new ecosystems, it probably present other regions country. The lack information on this resulted misidentifications misdiagnosis at field level by phytosanitary technicians. In work, we found that S. states Veracruz, Sinaloa, Jalisco, Michoacán occupying sites with climates (warm temperate) elevations from 6 1,721 m above sea level. Plant reproductive hosts were blackberry (Rubus sp.), blueberry (Vaccinium Persian lime (Citrus latifolia Tanaka), mango (Mangifera indica L.), pear (Pyrus communis L.). Through evaluation response adults toward chromatic traps, greatly prefers yellow (×5.40) compared blue color. More studies are needed detection control measures order reduce distribution economic impact caused Mexico.

Color preference, seasonality, spatial distribution and species composition of thrips (Thysanoptera: Thripidae) in northern highbush blueberries
We investigated color preference, seasonal abundance, spatial distribution and species composition of thrips in northern highbush blueberries, Vaccinium corymbosum L., in New Jersey (USA). White sticky traps were more attractive to thrips compared with yellow or blue traps. Thrips captures using white sticky traps showed that their flight activity begins 20e30 d after the onset of flowering, wi...

Various traps were evaluated for capture of western flower thrips, Franklinella occidentalis (Pergande). More thrips were attracted to blue sticky cards compared with yellow or white cards. With the addition of blue light emitting diodes (LEDs) thrips numbers on blue cards increased 2.2 fold. The numbers of thrips caught per 10cm on blue sticky cups were 2.4 times more than on blue sticky cards...
متن کاملOverwintering locations and hosts for onion thrips (Thysanoptera: Thripidae) in the onion cropping ecosystem in New York.
Identifying locations where onion thrips, Thrips tabaci Lindeman (Thysanoptera: Thripidae), overwinter and subsequently disperse is important for designing control strategies. In upstate New York from 2003 through 2006, potential overwintering sites in the commercial onion, Allium cepa L., cropping system were investigated early in the spring before onion seedling emergence and again late in th...
